Wednesday 31st October 2007.

Today, the song that I've had in my head has been "Do they know it's Christmas" by Bandaid.

This is a message to the lady who thought just because she had a travelcard, she could push to the front of the queue at the bus stop. I have a travel card too but I was polite and waited my turn. Oh, and by the way, you obviously didn't check too carefully what you looked like in your coat 'cos your backside looked huge.

Wednesday 24th October 2007

Today, the song I was glad to have in my head has been "Stepping Out" by Joe Jackson.

I have felt like a weaning baby for the last couple of days. I don't want one, I feel like I am one. Had some work done at the dentists last week which included an injection. I thought at first, seeing as I bruise ridiculously easily, that the pain and the fact I could barely open my mouth was down to the injection. But....that was last Tuesday. Tonight for tea, I had mash, gravy and green beans cut into teeny tiny pieces. In a bowl. Using a very small fork. To mix everything up in the gravy. It was very tasty. Took me over half an hour to eat.

Sunday 21st October 2007.

Today, the song that I have had in my head has been "Puppet on a string" by Sandie Shaw.

A long time ago, I was on the swing in the back garden at home and a huge bluebottle flew into my mouth. I don't know why I've remembered that today.

Friday 19th October 2007.

Today, the song that I have had in my head has been "No woman no cry" by Bob Marley.

It's not even the end of October yet and yet you can buy Halloween costumes. If I had a dog, I'd go for this scary one. Just google " pets halloween" and you'll find lots more to make you scream.

Thursday 18th October 2007.

Today, the song that I have had in my head is "Nights in white satin" by The Moody Blues.

So I'm having my first cup of (fair trade) caffeinated coffee and cigarette by the back door this morning when two synchronised squirrels do a Fred Astaire type boogie along the garden fence. Nothing like nature to raise the spirits.

Wednesday 17th October 2007.

Today, the song that I have had on my head has been "Walk like a man" by Franki Valli. *sobs*

I sometimes wish I'd got more to look forward to than 5.00pm on Fridays which means no work for two days.

Tuesday 16th October 2007

Today, the song that I did have "Have I told you lately" by Van Morrison has morphed into "Saving all my love" by "Whitney Houston.

The flap on my cat flap has broken off, which is somewhat annoying.

Monday 15th October 2007.

Today, the song that I have had in my head has been "Wild World" the Cat Stevens version.

Walking down the road this morning and I noticed a house that had the most amazingly coloured Virginia creeper. I would have liked to stop to look more at its wonderfulness but though I might look a bit odd.

Sunday, October 14, 2007

Sunday 14th October 2007.

Today, the song that I have had in my head has been "Ain't nobody" by Chaka Khan.

Why do they put peas in Chinese curries? Nice but a bit odd.

Saturday 13the October 2007

Today, the song that I have in my head at the moment is "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth, Wind and Fire.

I've got bluebells coming up in my front garden which is unusual.

11th October 2007

Today, the song that I have had in my head all day long has been "Good King Wenceslas" by John Mason Neale. However when my friend Leeroy started singing to "I'm coming out" for some strange reason, it's changed to that. Apologies to my neighbours for my singing.

If I'm ever reincarnated as an animal, I want to come back as one of Denise's cats. Talk about being pampered. They even have their own house with laminate flooring.

Wednesday 10th October 2007.

Today, the song that I have had in my head has been "We've all got to die someday" by Kasey Chambers.

Hot, crispy, roast chicken skin is absolutely delicious.

Monday 8th October 2007

Today, the song I had in my head until 1pm was "Wild world" by Cat Stevens, sadly for the rest of the day it has been a childrens song "Head shoulders knees and toes, knees and toes" by goodness knows who. Thanks S!

The nights are drawing in and I'm still having vivid dreams. One of the dreams I had last night was a colleague of mine had come to work with a mobile anti "SAD" machine strapped to his forehead which was bing filmed for a documentary. Basically it was a mini flourescent tube strapped to his forehead whilst he wore a Biggles type pair of sunglasses.

My best friends' stepson was severely ill last week, so ill they thought at one point he was going to die. Now I'm not one for praying particularly, so I asked a Muslim colleague what he prayed about. As well as certain prayers they have to pray, they also pray for orphans and people who need help. So I asked him if he didn't mind praying for Nick. This was last Friday. That wasn't what the whole chat was about - very interesting actually. Anyway.........hopefully Nick should now be home. Makes you wonder.
